Make a Plan

I am approaching the end of my 90 days with P90X3.  Sad and thrilling at the same time.  I've grown to love me some Tony Horton (and if you haven't read his book The Big Picture, go get it).  This is the second round I've done with this program.  I like to mix it up, but this program is great and so effective that I'm sure I will do it again!

If you aren't familiar with P90X3, it's 30 minutes of a plethora of workout styles including MMX, yoga, pilates, weights, and cardio.  Tony brings his unique humor along with it to keep you smiling while you sweat!

I was fairly fit before I started, but I have gotten great results with both rounds and love that I can maintain my fitness in just 30 minutes a day.

I didn't get a before shot of my back and these photos stink, but I am pretty pleased with how I look now!  Especially that the weather is turning warm - hello, tank tops (am I allowed to say muscle shirt?!).

Keeping my fitness as part of my routine every day took planning.  I had to decide I would commit to a program and I had to decide to press play every day.  If you are ready to take the first step forward with your fitness, make that decision too!

  1. Decide on a program.  Does P90X3 appeal to you?  What other programs are you curious about?  Ask yourself what kind of workouts you are willing to do.  Talk to a friend about what they have had success with in the past.  It all boils down to what you can envision seeing yourself do!  Don't be afraid to reach out of your comfort zone!

  2. Make a daily commitment.  Get out your calendar.  How long will your workouts take each day?  Where will you do them?  Write it in your calendar just like any other appointment.

  3. Buy yourself a new workout outfit.  Ok, ok, so this is technically not really needed and probably should be more like a reward for crushing it for several days in a row, but...maybe you need that slight bit of motivation to strut your stuff.  Do whatever it takes to get yourself going on that very first day (perhaps a sticker chart?).

Beachbody has several great promos going on this month to help you pick your program!  Luckily, P90X3 is a one of them (and the lowest price they've offered so far!).  PIYO is also a part of April's promotions, which is another program I am in love with because it's just fun to do!
